Two articles from RT have piqued my interest this morning.
The first detailing the "disappointment" expressed from the US Embassy in Moscow over Russia blocking the further import of soya-bean and corn crops from the USA. Apparently the food safety watchdog has found sixty four cases of bacterial contamination in US soya-bean crops and dry rot in some of the corn crop. One of the four recent cases of bacterial contamination includes a bacteria not found in Russia. However, the USA and the EU have imposed sanctions on Russia over their annexing of the Crimean Peninsula. So it boils down to you are a naughty boy Russia, you can't export anything to us, because we are so whiter than white, but YOU WILL IMPORT FROM US regardless of the quality of the product we are trying to palm off on you.

The second is the accusation from the US yesterday that Russian war planes hit two hospitals in Aleppo, depriving 50,000 civilians of access to life saving services. The accusation was sufficiently ambiguous that they avoided stating on what day this allegedly happened. However, the Russians have countered with a fairly cohesive argument that they did not operate any air strikes over Aleppo on 10 February 2015, and they can substantiate this with evidence. Not something the USA is able or willing to do to demonstrate their accusations.

Does the USA think it can make allegations without proof and the World will take notice because the claims are against Russia.
The situation in Syria is so complex that there are bound to be cases of (I hate this word because it is so dehumanising - but it is the "mot du jour") collateral damage.
