Oops!!! Little Faux Pas! Brexit No.5

After the letter, orchestrated by Downing Street, declaring that the UK would be safer within the EU was published yesterday, it transpires that one of the signatories was not in fact in agreement with this statement!   Subsequently, Downing Street have admitted that the inclusion of his name was an "administrative error". One of the 6 O'clock BBC News headline articles on Wednesday 24th February 2016 was about the safety and security of the UK outside the EU and the letter that was signed by many retired senior ranking officers.   However, tonight's broadcast has NOT reported on the suspect nature of this letter, which indicates to me that the BBC are not likely to be adopting a unbiased view of the campaign and that British citizens must seek elsewhere for the facts to make an informed decision on. Ex-Special Forces General Sir Michael Rose has stated that " I happen to believe sovereignty and security are intrinsically linked and in recent years we’ve seen...

More scaremongering Brexit No.4

According to a news report on RT the headline states: Big business backs EU: FTSE bosses warn Brexit will ‘threaten jobs’ Apparently "Approximately one-third of businesses on the FTSE 100, the index of Britain’s largest stock-market companies, have signed the letter, which was organized by City PR boss Roland Rudd"  WHICH MEANS THAT TWO THIRDS HAVE NOT SIGNED THE LETTER!!!  Guess what I can use statistic too!!!!! https://www.rt.com/uk/333346-eu-firms-letter-brexit/ So it appears that those who want out of Europe will have to fight extremely hard to regain a level playing field when the mainstream media trawl out articles with this type of spin.

Europol have started already - BREXIT POST No. 3

I notice that Rob Wainwright, the director at Europol, has stated that a Brexit will make Britain less safe.    Would that be the same Rob Wainwright that went before a House of Commons committee and admitted that “about 3 to 5,000 EU nationals” have left Europe to fight in Syria, Iraq and other conflict zones and would therefore be eligible to come back unhindered? Unfettered migration from Syria, Iraq and North Africa with very little vetting of the people illegally gaining access to Europe is the biggest threat to British national security.    Is Rob Wainwright really suggesting that Europol would not share information with our intelligence services just because we were out of the EU?    I am convinced that if MI6 or MI5 had any intelligence on an impending attack in Europe they would not be so petty as to withhold such information. Europol is a toothless tiger in that it does not have the power to arrest people or conduct investigations...

Alan Johnson - Epic Fail - BREXIT No. 2

My Oh My!  I have heard it all now.    Alan Johnson, ex-Labour Home Secretary is a fool.    He stated this evening on a brief BBC debate that we joined the EU after a Labour referendum in 1975.    Point one, you moron, the people in 1975 voted to stay in a Common Market (European Economic Community) not the undemocratic four tiered behemoth that is is now. Point two, it wasn't created to prevent another conflict, NATO was created for this.   It was created so that France and West Germany could pool their resources along with the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy and rebuild their countries, something that we, one of the Allies of the Second World War were unable to do for a very, very, very long time. Point three, Charles de Gaulle, the president of France, one of the first countries to become a member of the Common Market, DID NOT want us to join, in fact he blocked our membership twice.   We only joined th...

And they're off!!!! BREXIT Campaign begins!!!

This will undoubtedly be the first of many posts on the BREXIT campaign in the UK.   The date has been announced for the referendum and it is....drum roll please.........23rd June 2016!!! Now all the dirty tactics will be brought to play, the European Union will interfere (just like they did in the Republic of Ireland referendum) and the lobbyists will be out in force, spinning statistics to suit their own agenda. Amidst all of this one thing needs to be kept in mind... Who has the most to lose and who is prepared to lose it? Take every single other reason to leave the EU out of the equation and focus on this question... Which party was created to get the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland out of the European Union?    Answer:   UKIP Whose party members and representatives have the most to lose (literally)?   The Members of the European Parliament that represent UKIP. The very party and people who stand to lose...

Democratic Party - USA - An oxymoron!!!

Spot the oxymoron, the Democratic Party in the USA have just gone through a a caucas in South Carolina, and even if Bernie Sanders polls the highest normal votes, he can still be denied the vote by the super delegates!!   They come from their homes with their underpants over their tights and fly in using their super powers to discredit the whole point of democracy!!  Even if all the registered delegates voted for Bernie Sanders there would still be a very good chance Hillary Clinton could win!!!  Why?    Because a Super Delegate's vote can go against the majority vote and plump for the runner up giving them the chance to run for President.     HOW ON EARTH IS THAT DEMOCRATIC?!!!

Hypocrisy rules USA

Two articles from RT have piqued my interest this morning.   The first detailing the "disappointment" expressed from the US Embassy in Moscow over Russia blocking the further import of soya-bean and corn crops from the USA.   Apparently the food safety watchdog has found sixty four cases of bacterial contamination in US soya-bean crops and dry rot in some of the corn crop.   One of the four recent cases of bacterial contamination includes a bacteria not found in Russia.   However, the USA and the EU have imposed sanctions on Russia over their annexing of the Crimean Peninsula.    So it boils down to you are a naughty boy Russia, you can't export anything to us, because we are so whiter than white, but YOU WILL IMPORT FROM US regardless of the quality of the product we are trying to palm off on you. https://www.rt.com/business/332117-corn-banus-disappoints-us/ The second is the accusation from the US yesterday that Russian war ...

Map showing Migration over the last few years

Lucify has produced an interactive map whose data has been extrapolated from the UN figures on the migration crisis that has blighted Europe over the last five years. http://www.lucify.com/the-flow-towards-europe/ It clearly shows that the majority of the migration is from the North African/Middle Eastern area. I fully accept that people seeking refuge from civil war in their own country is a justified reason to leave.    However, the Dublin Agreement states that anybody applying for asylum should do so in the first designated "safe" country they enter.    This map shows that the majority of the northern European countries are being targeted because many "safe" countries are transited through to get to the target destination. The UN is proving more and more that it has become a "toothless tiger" and is quick to condemn the EU and specific countries for their lack of a unified response to the problem.    However, they have no power to ...

Pot and Kettle!!!

It never fails to amaze me that some people in positions of power have the nerve to judge countries when their own home nation is not known for banging the same drum..... The UN Human Rights Chief, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein from Saudi Arabia, has drawn the world's attention to the horrendous behaviour of the Turkish Authorities.    He, quite correctly, has stated that the shooting at unarmed people protesting in Cizre, Turkey, was against their fundamental rights.   This throws up two issues for me; Saudi Arabia has an appalling human rights record and the fact that a Saudi citizen is the head of the UN Human Rights is laughable.    Does he criticise Saudi Arabia or are they off limits? Everyone has known about the flexible way that Turkey deals with the issue of human rights, but they have been assured that the EU will look again at their application to join....surely this should be the nail in the coffin of their ambition to join?   ...
