DEMOCRACY - PURE AND SIMPLE!

There is a petition currently in circulation demanding a second referendum regarding the UK's choice to leave the EU.    The majority of the signatures come from the London boroughs.    They want to change the goal posts of the results to a 60% majority on a 75% turnout.   The point of democracy is the majority win.    In simple terms anything result greater than 51% is the majority (a slim majority, but a majority nonetheless).   The irony is these morons are bemoaning the fact that they want an enhanced democracy, a Democracy 2.0 if you will (trying to change the mathematical equation of anything greater that 51% isn't really a majority) all to remain in an institution that is fundamentally ANTI-DEMOCRATIC.   You really couldn't make it up!! If the shoe were on the other foot and the Leave campaigners had lost, would there have been any coverage or credence given to a demand for a second referendum.  ...

Independence Day 2016

We have voted in the UK to leave the anti-democratic European Union and, BONUS, our self-serving ineffectual Prime Minister has announced he will stand down in October.   He has immediately gone back on two key promises during his campaign to remain in the EU.   One, to steer the UK out of the EU via article 50 and two, to not cede his prime ministerial role in the event of a defeat.   Both of which he has reneged on.   Fundamental evidence that he couldn't be trusted. Is this an end to the failed social experiment that is the European Union?   I hope so. I voted out, knowing that I would likely be effected negatively.   I live and work in France and I also benefit from child benefit here in France.   I pay into the system and, like ...

Osbourne's at it again! This is blackmail!!

George Osbourne has announced today his "post-Brexit" budget plans should, God forbid, the British public deign to vote against him and his cronies' globalist agenda. Dr Ruth Lea, a prominent economist, has open stated that Britain would be better off outside of the European Union based on FACTS.    She has stated that the EU share of worldwide GDP in 1980 was over 30%, declined to 24% by the year 2000 and was reduced even further in 2014 to just 17%.    So the European Union is NOT the answer.   Brexit will allow British firms to access markets outside the EU without having to negotiate the corrupt, bureaucratic behemoth that is the European Union. George Osbourne's proposed budget is just that, proposed , he will fact stiff opposition from 57 Conservative Members of Parliament who have signed a pledge to vote against this budget which could lead to the collapse of the current government and, hopefully, another General Election to allow a new...
