Vigipirate and the new normal

Back in the far, dim mists of time, growing up in the Seventies my only concern at primary school was whether my school house group, Danny House, was going to come top of the school at the end of the year.

Later at secondary school we were blessed with the knowledge that not only were we under the threat of nuclear attack but, if that didn't get us, there was a good chance that drugs (Just Say No!) or AIDS would.    However, the only drills we did at school were fire one's.    The bells would go off, the teachers would shepherd their pupils to their designated assembly areas and the cooler students would slope off for a crafty smoke behind the bike sheds!

Now in these days of multiculturalism, safe spaces, triggering, feelings over facts and all manner of ridiculousness, things have deteriorated to a level that I never ever thought I would witness.

When I came to France in 2006, the headmaster of the primary school attended by my sons was strict, no student sought to cross him, if they did they were swiftly brought back in line with a hefty dose of discipline.    The teenagers were, on the whole, far more respectful over here than in the UK, they also had a begrudging respect for the police and authority.   In ten years I have seen discipline in schooling, parenting and everyday respect, decline so fast it makes my head spin!

Now the school parents association is more concerned about the feelings of their own children within the school construct, paying just lip service to the other children's feelings or well-being in their role as go-between for parents and school.   The headteacher is now a woman, very nice, but ineffectual when dealing with the wankerati of the parents association and completely incapable of maintaining any standard of discipline within the school.

So in light of the heinous terrorist attacks in Paris in January and December, a vigipirate scheme was activated.    It was lauded in the press as a proactive approach to protecting our young people at school, college and lycĂ©e.      This was activated shortly after the January attacks on the Charlie Hebdo offices and the Jewish supermarket.    More action was taken after the egregious attacks on the Bataclan concert venue, Stade du France and many restaurants in Paris all on the same night.

So the wankerati come out in force, telling us it is not all muslims that do this (we know there would be worldwide carnage if they all did it) lighting candles, laying flowers and cuddly toys, all the while insisting that we respect their culture, multiculturalism is great and we should just "love" these radicals into changing their backward beliefs.

What does surprise me however, is the lack of shock and disgust when, in my case, my eight year old daughter had to go through a "terrorist attack" drill at school on 31st May 2016.   We were advised of this in a letter that came home in her school bag.   At 10h00 the gates would be locked externally, all the external doors would be locked and the shutters on the windows closed.   The children were then to be locked in their respective classrooms with their teachers, then hide under the desks and remain silent for a period of half an hour.  Now, obviously, in these times we live in, these actions could be the difference between lives lost or saved, so the drill was necessary.

My point, however, is this, why are the wankerati in their pursuit of feelings not concerned with the low level angst these drills could have on our children?    My daughter is well aware of the attacks that took place in Paris and she cried when she heard of the attacks in Nice.   Now whenever there is a report of islamist attacks in Europe she doesn't bat an eyelid.   She has become used to the fact that people who are fanatical followers of a particular religion do not want to live as we do and want us to live as they do.    Yet again, I stress not all followers of islam feel compelled to kill the kaffir but many do, and of those that don't, there is a large majority that support those that do.   The only really peaceful muslims are the Ahmadiyya, whose denouncements decrying the islamists actions are attributed, by the mainstream media, to the very muslims (sunni and shiite) who want to wipe the Ahmadis of the face of the earth for not being muslim enough!!!

The threat of islamist terrorism must not be the "new normal" in Europe or anywhere for that matter.    The fanatical islamists are using our liberal attitudes, freedoms and laws against us.   It is plain for anyone to see, the only thing stopping this truth being told is the mainstream media and their fanatical desire for multicultural, politically correct diversity.

Demographic suicide of Europe - Can it be reversed?

There is no doubt, to any rational, critical thinking person in the Western world, that Europe is going through as big a crisis as those of WW1 and WW2.   Unfortunately, the crisis we currently find ourselves in has been created or at least abetted by our own political leaders. There has been much talk of the Frankfurt School and the Coudenhove-Kalergi plan, cultural marxism and the creep of Islamism within the West and Europe specifically. We are told that we need to import immigrants from the third world countries in order to fill the demographic hole created by Europeans not breeding sufficiently.   The Coudenhove-Kalergi plan openly advocates the destruction of the European race, or at the very least its dilution.   So for decades, various countries have made it fiscally less and less desirable to procreate.   The married person's tax allowance was removed from UK citizens way back in the nineties, child benefit, in countries where it is paid, has...

Lord Taverne slams the will of the people.

Last night (13 March 2017) the House of Commons voted on the Bill to trigger Article 50 of the Lis bon Trea ty .   This Bill allows the government of the UK to set in motion the process of separation from the European Union, nine months after the people of the UK voted, via a referendum, to leave. Despite the best efforts of Gina Miller (a Soros stooge) and a cabal of self-interested parties to block the UK government from trying to exit without parliamentary approval; a move that was upheld by several self-interested High Court and Supreme Court Judges were proven fruitless.   In compliance with the court directive, the UK government tabled a Bill laying out the specifics of exiting the EU.   Passed by the House of Commons, it went up to the House of Lords, who rejected the Bill and returned it to the elected House with amendments.   The amendments were overturned by the elected House of Commons and it has since passed in the House of...

Pot and Kettle!!!

It never fails to amaze me that some people in positions of power have the nerve to judge countries when their own home nation is not known for banging the same drum..... The UN Human Rights Chief, Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein from Saudi Arabia, has drawn the world's attention to the horrendous behaviour of the Turkish Authorities.    He, quite correctly, has stated that the shooting at unarmed people protesting in Cizre, Turkey, was against their fundamental rights.   This throws up two issues for me; Saudi Arabia has an appalling human rights record and the fact that a Saudi citizen is the head of the UN Human Rights is laughable.    Does he criticise Saudi Arabia or are they off limits? Everyone has known about the flexible way that Turkey deals with the issue of human rights, but they have been assured that the EU will look again at their application to join....surely this should be the nail in the coffin of their ambition to join?   ...
